Longmont, CO \u2013 <\/span>Cornerstone Farm<\/span><\/a>, a local business offering horseback riding lessons and horse training services to area residents since 1999, has moved. Owner Jen Shannon now offers teaching and training services at 8270 N 87th Street (Airport Road)<\/span>, <\/span>Longmont, Colorado, a facility now called Maple del Nero.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cornerstone Farm specializes in hunter\/jumper instruction for beginning through advanced riders and offers riding lessons, horse training, and opportunities to compete, all in a positive learning environment for riders from 8 years old and up. <\/span><\/p>\n

Shannon is a graduate of the Colorado State University Equine Science program. Cornerstone Farm has an IEA team, and a competitive hunter\/jumper team that competes in CHJA and USEF\/USHJA sanctioned events. The facility will also host an <\/span>Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA)<\/span><\/a> Zone 8 Region 1 show on Saturday, November 3.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cornerstone Farm new home is now called Maple del Nero, and is located at the northeast corner of Airport Road and the Diagonal Highway\/119 between Longmont and Niwot.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new location is easier to access for riders from Longmont, Niwot, Boulder and the surrounding area. Maple del Nero offers premium features and amenities on just under 30 acres of land, including top-quality professional teaching and training, new indoor and outdoor jumps, improvements to the arena footing, as well as exceptional care for horses.<\/span><\/p>\n

The indoor arena measures 150 x 75 feet, and the outdoor arena is 120 x 238.5 feet. The barn itself is 6,125 square feet and has nineteen stalls, each 144 square feet with runs leading outdoors. There is also room for up to eleven horses in paddocks with shelters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Riders and students have increased access to both the indoor and outdoor arenas, allowing for greater flexibility to schedule both group and private lessons. Instruction is tailored to meet each student\u2019s needs and abilities at every level of experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cornerstone Farm and Maple del Nero invite you to visit the new facility at 8270 N 87th Street (Airport Road), Longmont, Colorado, Monday thru Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Drop-in visits welcome, but a phone call, text or email ahead of time is appreciated so you will be expected.<\/span><\/p>\n

From Longmont, travel southwest on Ken Pratt Boulevard; or south on Hover. Continue onto Diagonal Highway (CO-119). Turn right on <\/span>N 87th Street\/<\/span>Airport Road and turn into the first driveway on the right (east) side of the road. An alternative is to find your way to <\/span>N 87th Street\/Airport Road from 17th to the north, or Nelson Road, and head south. Turn left\/east into the last drive before the Diagonal.<\/span><\/p>\n

From Boulder and Niwot, head north on the Diagonal\/119. Turn left at <\/span>N 87th Street\/Airport Road and <\/span>turn into the first driveway on the right (east) side of the road.<\/span><\/p>\n

About Cornerstone Farm<\/b><\/p>\n

Cornerstone Farm provides a competitive riding program dedicated to providing top-quality instruction with a relaxed, stress-free, professional approach. The program is run by Head Instructor Jennifer Shannon, a graduate of the <\/span>Colorado State University equine science program<\/span><\/a> and a certified English and Western riding instructor. She has been riding for more than 35 years, and has taught riding and trained horses for 27 years. She specializes in hunter\/jumper instruction, and offers private and group lessons, as well as horse training services. Lessons can be taught on one of Cornerstone Farm\u2019s trustworthy horses, or riders can take lessons on their own horse.<\/span><\/p>\n
